Tongits is the card game every Filipino knows — played at family reunions, town fiestas, between friends on lazy afternoons. Now 3taya 365 brings it online with real players, real stakes, and the same exciting rush you get around a real table. Laro na!
13 cards. Three players. One winner. That's Tongits.
There's something deeply familiar about Tongits. It doesn't matter if you're from Ilocos Norte or Davao del Sur, from a crowded Manila apartment or a quiet house in Leyte — at some point, someone in your family has pulled out a deck of cards and started a Tongits game. It's that Pinoy.
At 3taya 365, we've taken that familiar feeling and built it into a proper online platform — complete with smooth animations, fair gameplay, a real-money betting structure, and the option to play against other Filipino players in real time. No bots, no artificial opponents when tables are active. Just real games between real people, the way Tongits was always meant to be played.
Whether you're a seasoned player who's been dealing since you were a teenager or someone who learned the basics from an uncle and wants to practice with real stakes, 3taya 365 has a table for your level. Stakes range from low buy-in casual rooms all the way up to high-stakes tables for players who want bigger action.

If you already know Tongits, this is just a reminder of the online flow at 3taya 365. If you're newer to the game, here's everything you need to get started without feeling lost at the table.
Each of the three players receives 12 cards. One card is placed face-up in the discard pile to start the game. The remaining deck forms the draw pile in the center.
On your turn, draw the top card from the draw pile or pick up the top discard. You're always trying to form valid melds (sets or sequences) from your 13 cards.
Once you have a valid set or sequence, you can lay it face-up on the table. Laid-down melds reduce the total point value of cards still in your hand, which matters if the game goes to scoring.
You can extend your own melds or add cards to other players' melds on the table. Adding to others is called "Sapaw" and is a key strategic tool for getting rid of high-value cards.
After drawing and melding (if you choose to), discard one card face-up. The next player clockwise takes their turn. Play continues until someone wins or the draw pile empties.
Tongits: Empty your hand completely — instant win. Fight (Sagot): Challenge an opponent who calls Tongits — the player with the lower total card value wins. Draw Pile Empty: Players compare total hand values; lowest score wins.
There are three distinct win conditions in Tongits, each with different payouts at 3taya 365. Understanding all three is what separates a casual player from a winning one.
You discard your last card and have zero cards left. This is the strongest possible outcome and pays out at the highest multiplier. The goal every serious player works toward from hand one.
You challenge a player who calls for a draw comparison — and your remaining card value is lower. A well-timed fight call is one of the most satisfying plays in the game. Read your opponents carefully before calling.
When all draw cards are gone, everyone compares the total value of unmelded cards in hand. The player with the lowest count takes the pot. Getting your card value down quickly through melds and sapaw is critical here.
Playing Tongits online is a different experience from gathering around a table with friends — but in some ways, it's actually better. You don't have to wait for everyone's schedule to align. You don't have to deal with someone shuffling too slow or arguing over a sapaw call. At 3taya 365, the moment you open a Tongits table, the cards are dealt cleanly, the rules are enforced automatically, and the game moves at a proper pace.
3taya 365 uses a certified random number generator for all card deals, which means every shuffle is completely fair — no one has an advantage before the cards hit the table. The platform has been independently tested to make sure the deal distribution is genuine. That's something you genuinely can't always guarantee in a kitchen game.
Part of what makes Tongits work so well in an online format is that it's a three-player game. Unlike poker, which works best with larger tables, Tongits scales down perfectly — you need exactly two other people to run a proper game, and 3taya 365 matchmaking finds your opponents in seconds at any hour of the day. Late night after work, early morning before the kids wake up, or during a 30-minute lunch break — there's always a table running.
The fact that games are relatively short also helps. A single hand of Tongits at 3taya 365 typically takes between 5 and 15 minutes depending on how actively players are melding. That means you can fit in a few meaningful games without committing your entire afternoon. It's the kind of format that naturally fits Filipino playing habits — quick, intense, social, and satisfying even in short sessions.
Most Filipino players who've played Tongits for years develop their own intuitions about the game — when to meld early, when to hold cards for a later sequence, when to fight and when to fold. But if you're playing for real money at 3taya 365, there's genuine value in sharpening those instincts with a bit of structured thinking.
Meld early to reduce exposure. Every unmelded card in your hand is a liability when the draw pile runs out. Getting melds on the table early reduces your total card value and keeps you safe if someone suddenly calls to compare hands. The players who get caught holding a King and a Queen with nothing melded are the ones who pay out.
Watch the discard pile carefully. Every card an opponent discards tells you something about what they're building. If you see a player repeatedly discarding cards of a particular suit, they likely have no sequence in that suit — which might mean you can safely discard in that direction too. Paying attention to discards at 3taya 365 is one of the highest-value habits you can develop.
Don't rush to fight. Calling a fight (sagot) is tempting when you feel confident, but consider your remaining card value honestly before you do. If you have two low-value unmelded cards and your opponent has been actively melding throughout the game, they might have less than you think. Miscalculating a fight call is expensive. Only fight when you're genuinely confident your total is lower.
Sapaw strategically. Adding to another player's meld through sapaw can save you from a high-value card you can't otherwise get rid of. But be careful — using sapaw to extend a meld you don't control means you're helping that player reduce their hand count too. Sometimes it's worth the trade; sometimes it's better to hold and wait for your own sequence to come together.
Playing consistently at 3taya 365 naturally develops all of these instincts faster than occasional kitchen table games. The volume of hands — and the stakes attached to each one — sharpens your decision-making in ways that casual play simply can't replicate.
